Lega Basket Serie A side Sidigas Avellino is reportedly interested in signing Ghana Center Amida Brimah per information reaching Basketballghana.com

The 6 foot 11 inch former University of Connecticut ace defender graduated from the Huskies Program earlier in the year before going undrafted in this year’s NBA Draft.

The Italian side is tracking three players to pick as a roster addition for the season; Dejan Musli and Miro Bilan are being considered for the role with the Accra born player.

Avellino is looking to improve its roster for the 2017-2018 season where it is expected to go beyond the semifinal stage it got to last season.

The upcoming regular season commences on October 1 and is scheduled to end in May 2018; 16 teams will compete in this year’s competition.

Brimah won the 2014 National College Championship in his time in Connecticut and became known for his defensive skills particularly shot blocking abilities.

His leadership qualities endeared him to the program where was named Captain in his final year before playing for Chicago Bulls in the NBA Summer League.
