Prempeh (white) v Kumasi Anglican

Reigning Sprite Ball Champions Opoku Ware School has booked a return ticket to the main finals after making it to the finals of Ashanti Regional qualifiers.

The home team dominated its 25-13 win over T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School in the final semifinal game of the event.

A lightning quick start in the game, was mainly responsible for the team’s big win over Ahamdiyya who missed out on the opportunity to repeat the finals feat of its female side.

T.I. Ahmadiyya’s female side beat Islamic Senior High School 4-2 in a low scoring game that largely lacked quality from both teams.

Opoku Ware cooled off in the second half and were hesitant to shoot the ball allowing its opponent to grow in confidence and find the bottom of the net more.

By making the final game, OWASS has sealed automatic qualification to the national games due to be played in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

Opoku Ware take on close Prempeh College later for the region’s gold medal.
