Defending Global Sporting Platforms (GSP) Basketball League Champions University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) continue to lead the way.

Following the conclusion of Week 3 games, UENR has amassed maximum points from three fixtures after recording another win in the league.

The tertiary side beat West Siders 44-26 in the last round of games played at the Eusbett Court in Sunyani; the tie was the first of four games played over the past weekend.

Beating West Siders extends UENR’s winning streak to three matching the record of former league champions Suncity Braves.

Braves clinched its third win of the season following a 50-30 win over Sunyani Technical University (STU) in the latter’s second loss of the season.

West Siders maintain its run at the base of the league following the loss which sits third for the season since the team didn’t participate in the opening round as punishment for failing to register early.

LIR finished off Barracks Scorpions with a 75-22 win to place third in the standings ahead of Desert Rabbits who clinched its maiden win this season thanks to a 45-15 win over Catholic University College, Ghana Saints.
