Winners of the January 2016 edition of the Sprite Ball Championship in the boys division, St. Augustine’s College, has been presented with the Sprite Ball Trophy.

This happened during this year’s Sprite Ball Trophy Tour of Ghana’s Central Region ahead of the games which takes place from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

The Green Camp hosted the Tour entourage after members of the travelling party made stops at schools in the Western Region including St. John’s School and Ahantaman Senior High School.

Physical Education Head Kojo Owusu and Basketball Coach Lawrence Ampiah led the Augustine’s contingent that welcomed the Tour contingent.

Members of the school’s team took turns taking pictures with the trophy with fellow students of the renowned institution.

Augustine’s won its only Sprite Ball Championship last year after beating Mfantsipim School in the final game but crashed out at the quarter finals in the following edition.

The school will be present for the upcoming competition after placing second behind bitter rival Mfantsipim at the regional finals.

Both schools and Adisadel College will represent the regionnext year in the boys division.
