Following an exciting 2017 season, the new season promises bigger and better accomplishments in Ghana basketball and Basketballghana.com previews a few of the top issues for the year.

New executives were elected to replace the Accra Basketball League (ABL) old guard this past season following the expiration of its tenure.

In the wake of a handing over ceremony early in December, Ghana’s premier league club competition’s new look body commences work this year.

Members of the new board include long time Coach and Player Emmanuel “Rubberman” Quaye elected Organizing Secretary and Vice Chairman Andrew Ackah.

Ackah made an appearance on basketball program “Courtside” on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports for the Sprite Ball Championship live draw.

All members of the Executive double as top members of the Accra Basketball Association and expected to deliver on both fronts during their time in office.

Securing appropriate funding to run the ABL and fun team trips to compete in international competitions will be key to gauge the success of the executive.
