The 2018 season of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) is set to commence in March according to information reaching Basketballghana.com

The league has been on a hiatus since the 2017 season ended with Braves of Customs winning the male and female divisions respectively.

Last season’s campaign ended little over three months ago with teams from the service tightening its hold on the division.

This will be the first league campaign for the ABL new executive board which was sworn into office prior to the turn of the year.

Elections were held close to the end of last season’s games with celebrated Coach Emmauel Quaye voted as Organizing Secretary and Andrew Ackah winning the Vice Presidential seat.

Winning the Men’s Division I title was a prelude Braves participation in the FIBA Africa Zone 3 Club Championship in Nigeria.

The team placed fourth and missed out on qualifying to the continental Championship which was held in Tunisia in December last year.

Ghana Police, Reformers of Prisons and Navy Warriors have secured qualification to play in this season’s Division I.
