The reported start date comes at a time club competitions on the Ghanaian scene are set to tip off with activities on the calendar already underway.
Last year’s league campaign ended in October with Team Community 4 shocking the 14 team field to beat Ashaiman Lions in the final to clinch the trophy.
Plans are far advanced to set the ball rolling for the 2018 campaign but no specific date has been communicated yet.
Questions about the start date begun to surface following the completion of the preseason tournament in December 2017 which Lions won.
Since its inception in 2016, the league’s profile has increased with the improved roster a big reflection on the developing league.
Seven teams competed in the first year which had Nungua Coldstore win it all before an expanded roster with 14 teams competed last season.
