SRC President Asante
KAAF University College Students Representative Council President Solomon Asante has stated the institution’s Male Basketball team is ready to compete in the 2018 UPAC Championship.

The team will be in action on Saturday March 10 at the University of Education-Winneba (UEW) against the host institution, University of Cape-Coast (UCC) and Cape-Coast Technical University in Zone 3.

KAAF made its debut in the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship in 2017 but missed out on qualifying to the next stage.

However, ahead of this weekend’s zonal games, Asante is adamant his team’s experience will help it cope better than the previous year.

“Expectations are high you know last year was our first time and then experience is the best teacher we’ve learnt and then we are ready… so this year, we are going for gold” he said.

Winner of the zone qualifies to the national competition slated to be played in Ghana’s capital, Accra in April. All Nations University College has made it from Zone 1.
