Accra Technical University (ATU) headlines the first of three zones in the Greater Accra Region to see out games in the 2018 UPAC Zonal competition later this weekend.

The two time winners of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship is in Zone 6 and will be in action on Thursday March 22.

ATU has been drawn in the zone with Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration-GIMPA, Valley View University and Wisconsin University College.

ATU will attempt to qualify to the national championship in front of its fans as the institution is the zone’s host.

Competition in Zone 7 takes center stage the following day as Marshalls University College battles University of Professional Studies, Ghana Technology University College and Islamic University College for the zone’s top spot.

Marshalls placed second behind University of Ghana in last year’s Championship final and the latter hosts Zone 8 on Thursday March 29.

Zone 8 has Regional Maritime University College, Radford University College and Pentecost University College competing.
