Games in Zone 7 of this year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship will be played on Saturday March 24.

However, the venue has been changed from the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) Basketballghana.com can confirm.

The new venue for the zonal games is the University of Ghana’s main court and games are set to tipoff at 8:00 in the morning.

Reports coming in indicate UPSA’s court is short of the optimal level needed to host competitions at the tertiary level hence the change.

UPSA was due to host games at the preliminary level of Ghana’s most celebrated tertiary basketball competition a couple of years back but that did not come off as planned due to similar challenges.

The hitherto host team UPSA has been drawn in the zone alongside 2017 finalist Marshalls University College, Ghana Technology University College and Islamic University College.

Islamic University is due to make its debut in the competition this weekend.
