Headmistress Ama Kyerewaa Benefo receives Sprite Ball Trophy from Coordinator Patrick Akoto.

The euphoria that greets the Sprite Ball Trophy Tour was taken to another level by St. Louis Senior High School in Kumasi earlier today.

The school staged a grand welcome for the Sprite Ball Trophy in the Ashanti Regional leg of the tour ahead of next year’s grand championship.

Next year’s Sprite Ball Championship takes place from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra with 20 schools-12 boys schools and eight Girls schools- participating.

St. Louis is one of four qualified schools from the region to play in the upcoming edition; the 2019 edition will be the school’s first appearance since 2011.

Over 2000 students came out in an orderly but ecstatic fashion to greet the Tour contingent and take the opportunity to have a closer look at the coveted trophy.

Headmistress of the school Ama Kyerewaa Benefo channeled her institution’s delight in welcoming the Trophy and pledged her support to the Basketball Team and the competition.

The trophy tour contingent made stops at Opoku Ware School, Prempeh College and Kumasi Girls High School.
