Accra Basketball League (ABL) Chairman Ayitey Bulley has indicated the 2020 edition of the league will commence in the first quarter of next year.

He made the statement with League Director Alex Kukula by his side after the season concluded recently at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

The 2019 League campaign was highly praised by stakeholders as the best in recent memory mainly due to the introduction of playoff games.

Speaking after the competition wrapped up, Chairman Bulley stated, “I am confident for the 2020 league which will start (in the) first quarter next year and we look forward to a competitive league next year; a better one and a bigger one”.

The 2019 League campaign had 2018 winners retain their titles; Ghana Police Service won back to back titles in the Women’s Division thanks to a 2-0 series win over Braves of Customs.

In the Men’s Division I, Braves beat Adenta Leopards 2-1 in the playoffs final; Customs won last year’s title with an unbeaten record.
