A major change in the Accra All Star Team for the Africa Basketball Festival headline game has been effected Basketballghana.com can confirm.

With a few days before the anticipated All Star Game between Accra and Tema tips off at the Bukom Arena, Melody Edwards has replaced Daniel Aryee in the Accra Team.

Adabraka CYO Center Edwards was selected recently to the team to replace veteran Braves of Customs Forward Aryee; Aryee starred at the Basketball Africa League qualification tournament in Cotonou, Benin.

Edwards helped CYO place fifth in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I with eight wins in 16 games in its return to the elite division.

The 6 foot 8 inch defender joins an experienced frontcourt that has James Pappoe and Suleman Abubakari; Pappoe has experience in the Nigerian Basketball League.

Tema recently effected a change of their own after replacing young Guard Fred Asante with veteran Guard Jeffrey Djimate. Aside the All Star Game, Tema and Accra will compete in several events including the three point shooting contest and slam dunk contest.
