Radford v GTUC (Blue) in 2019 UPAC

Basketballghana.com can confirm Radford University College will compete in Zone One of the 2020 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

Competition in Zone One commences on Saturday, March 7 at the Pope John Senior High School in Koforidua with the zonal winner progressing to the national championship.

Radford plays defending zonal champion Koforidua Technical University, Wisconsin International University College and All Nations University College.

In the 2019 UPAC, Radford competed in Zone Seven alongside eventual winners Islamic University College and Ghana Technology University College.

The team topped the zone and progressed to the national championship largely thanks to a 31-26 win over 2018 Zonal Champions Ghana Technology University College.

However, missed out on making it to the semifinals after getting drawn in the same group with the likes of former winner Accra Technical University and 2017 finalist Marshalls University College.

Radford is the defending champion in the Private Universities Sports Associations Games and will compete in this year’s tournament slated to start in late March.
