Basketballghana.com can confirm 2019 Tema Community Basketball League Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award winner Joel Tham has moved to Spintex Knights.

He moved from 2019 League Champions Nungua Coldstore in a shock move that has caused massive waves in and outside the league with the latest news sure to make fans, players and administrators of the league giddy for this year’s campaign to commence.

Tham was adjudged the best player in the past campaign after leading Coldstore to clinch its second league title in a row at the expense of Spintex Knights.

“I’ve decided to continue my playing career with the Spintex Knights and take on this new challenge” Tham stated after the transfer was announced.

This represents a big scoop for Knights who made a big splash in their debut run in the fast growing basketball competition in Ghana. Tham becomes the second Coldstore player to move to Knights after bagging a league title the previous year; fellow Guard Kontor Appiah made the switch prior to the 2019 campaign.

Knights replaced Dr. Eric Opoku-Antwi with Thomas Amediku as Head Coach earlier this year as the team continues to prep for the upcoming season.
