Basketballghana.com gathers former Ghanaian-British NBA player Pops Mensah-Bonsu is on the verge of becoming Director and President of Westchester Knicks in the Gatorade League (G-League).

Westchester Knicks is the G-League affiliate of NBA franchise New York Knicks; the G-League is the NBA’s development league for young players and a pathway for veteran players to get into the world’s best basketball league.

NBA Reporter Mike Vorkunov reported the development in the wee hours on Tuesday, December 14 as preparations continue for the start of the 2020-2021 season.

Mensah-Bonsu served as General Manager of fellow G-League side Capital City Go-Go last season and worked as a Scout for San Antonio Spurs prior to his appointment.

The former Dallas Mavericks, Toronto Raptors and New Orleans Pelicans Power Forward is also the founder of the Mensah-Bonsu of SEED Academy: Ghana.

Mensah-Bonsu represented Great Britain on the international stage and played at the 2012 Olympics held in London. He played for clubs in Turkey and Greece in his career.
