Ghana Power Forward Maxwell Amoafo fell just a rebound short of registering a double double in the final game of the 2021-2022 Canada Men’s College Basketball Season.

Amoafo’s University of Saskatchewan lost 72-85 to Carleton University in the final game played earlier today at the Saville Community Sports Center in Edmonton.

This represents the second ever final game the Huskies have been involved and it represents the second time Saskatchewan has lost in the national championship final.

6 foot 7 inch Amoafo started the game and played 20 minutes registering 10 points, nine rebounds, a blocked shot and an assist in the loss.

He needed a rebound to be the second player in the game to score a double double; Carleton’s Lloyd Pandi got 16 points and 13 rebounds. Amoafo was one of only three Saskatchewan players to score in double figures.

The loss is likely the last game in Saskatchewan for fourth year Sociology student Amoafo who averaged 9.2 points and 8.2 rebounds in 20 games while starting in eight games in the regular season.
