Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Power Forward Ben Bentil won’t compete in the 2021-2022 Euroleague Basketball Championship any further after his team Olimpia Milano got eliminated from the competition.

Milano lost 70-75 to Turkish side Anadolou Efes in Game 4 of the best of five game series at the quarterfinal stage of the European continental tournament. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)

Bentil started the contest and registered six points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal in 19:34 minutes as veterans Luigi Datome and Kyle Hines led Milano with 21 points and 10 points and 12 rebounds respectively.

After losing 65-77 to the defending champions in Game 3 also played in Turkey, Milano needed to beat Efes in the must win Game 4 to force a series decider in Game 5.

6 foot 8 inch Bentil converted his sole two point shot attempt and buried of a trio of three point shots; he scored his sole free throw shot attempt in the contest.

Tibor Pleiss scored 25 points to lead Efes to secure a semifinal berth against either AS Monaco or Olympiacos. Milano will now focus on winning the Serie A with the team ranked second in the league ahead of the playoffs.
