Basketballghana.com can confirm eight teams will compete in the Jah Swish Invitational Basketball Tournament later this weekend. The event is named after US based Ghanaian basketball phenom Jahlil ‘Jah Swish’ Owusu who doubles as a Nike Youth Ambassador.

The one-day tournament takes place on Saturday, June 4 at the Ghana Armed Forces Central Command in Kwadaso, Kumasi; the program commences at 10;00 AM.

The tournament is a product of a partnership between Sports Apparel and basketball event organizing company, Clockwork Brand and Jah Swish Inc.

Teams scheduled to compete this weekend have been drafted from youth basketball programs and senior high schools based in and around Kumasi, Ghana’s Ashanti regional capital.

Kumasi Anglican Senior High School, Opoku Ware School, Prempeh College and Kumasi Senior High School make up one half of the competing roster.

Spears Basketball Academy, Monarchs Basketball Academy, Chiefs Basketball Academy and Royals Basketball Academy make up the remaining half.
