Spintex Knights Basketball Club’s run in the 2022 Tournoi International Basketball Tournament has come to a close with the six day competition concluding this past weekend.
The tournament had eight teams drawn from four West African nations participate; all games were played at the Palais des sports Treichville in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
Ghana’s sole representative Spintex Knights ended the tournament with two wins and a loss in three games after beating Abidjan based Africa Sports 76-57.
A five point loss (81-86) to SOA in its second outing prevented Spintex from registering an unblemished campaign in the Ivorian economic capital.
The team is expected to arrive in Ghana later today after representing Ghana well in the tournament that had top flight basketball teams in various West African nations like Kwara Falcons of Nigeria and ASPAC of Benin participate in.
On its return, Knights will quickly switch attention and focus to the Tema Community Basketball League Finals against Nungua Coldstore and the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division II campaign.
