Ashaiman Lions Coach Raphael Ahadzi’s prediction has gone awry following his team’s loss to Tema Community 4 in the just ended 2017 Tema Basketball League Finals.

Lions lost 54-58 and 38-47 to C4 to miss out on this year’s title despite heading into the series as the overwhelming favorites.

The loss is Ashaiman’s second straight in the finals following last year’s title miss to Nungua Coldstore by the same margin.

Prior to the this year’s series, veteran trainer Ahadzi promised Ashaiman would deal with home side Community 4 by sending them off their court “to the bush” later rephrased “to the sea” in an interview on Basketball television show “Courtside” a fortnight ago.

However, his bold prediction didn’t hold as Lions lost two straight times to Community 4 who successfully defended the house.

C4 walked off the court double winners as Point Guard Aninagyei Osei was named the Most Valuable Player of the season. The team’s Under 19 side were crowned Champions in the juvenile tournament and beat Tema Community 12 over the weekend before Game Two of the Series.
